Sex and Religion coming to East Belfast ;-)
The most interesting thing I went to last week (apart from my studio) was a talk loyalist or Royalist murals at The Ulster Museum, a couple of things were sorted out for me, one question was "Why were there so many protestant murals before their were Catholic ones? answer because the protestants were in charge. every wanted to get to the Void in Derry but have not connection? a bus will leave the Golden Thread on Friday 15 @ 10 sharp to visit the Void to attend artist talk and discussion. Last August I curated an exhibition in Belfast 'Emerging v Established. The exhbition was a great sucsess the spaces looked fantastic with the art installed. It was a mix of emerging artists, graduates from the University of Ulster and established artists. late night art last night
Last night I went out in the wind to Late night art and oh what a delight I found out and about Belfast, First was creative Exchange studios where I bumped into Colin Davis, Ben Allen , Diedre Robb, Lesley Cherry, Katie Blue and Alan Duncan busy with their individual artistic crazyness.
