News From Nowhere
The Lagan Love Trail Dairy 2013. Ramblings from my new studio. The Lagan Towpath.
Is n't it wonderful how the sun brings out the better in some people especially at the week ends but for others it brings out something else, like burning the mountains and destroying nature, leaving crap all around in public places, dirty nappies left on the beaches, empty beer cans and bottles and of course the dog shit. I'm not moaning just observing.
Meanwhile life goes on and the work at…

The Lagan Love Trail Dairy 2013. Ramblings from my new studio. The Lagan Towpath.
Today was so beautiful at the Art Lab at Minnowburn. The sun was shining, the birds were singing their little heads off, the crac was good and the work flowed like the Lagan herself. The Tom Waits tree had a new make over full of beautiful green fresh leaves. I swear I could hear it sing a new song as I passed by. More visitors than I could have imagined have passed through the Art's Lab, I stopped counting at 1000. Nature has provided growth and the land Art and the landscape has changed…

News From Nowhere
The Lagan Love Trail Dairy 2013. Ramblings from my new studio. The Lagan Towpath.
Spring is here and the and the days can only get brighter. The Tom Waits tree was well pleased with the crowd, adults, kids and dogs that turned up to celebrate the Love light happen at Minnowburn. The carpark, the bridge and the river was decked with hand made lanterns turning it into a beautiful happening generating a lot of positive energy and excitement despite…

Working Class Hero update
I started the project some 8 months ago and am happy to say I am currently working on portrait 38 of 40! It has become a race against time as I have been diagnosed with severe cataracts, painting id difficult and reading impossible (excuse typing errors please). However 2 more portraits and 1 commission and the pressure is off! The show is in the Flax Gallery Newtownabbey 27 June - 20 July 2013.

Light and Love, restored
So how was your St Patricks day? Belfast’s is an ever changing unfolding story.Took a change of tack this year. The City hall was open for a number of wonder through events that were very good natured and family friendly. Who ever thought of putting live snakes in the snake pit, I mean council chambers was genius. In the sandcastle competition in Catalyst where everyone was a winner, I love the fact the sand was not even green. On Sunday St Georges Market had a lovely atmosphere and…
