Woollies that'll warm the head, heart and spirit!
I knit BIG.. I knit for GIANTS and then I boil my garments and accessories until they shrink to just the right size for average magical folk.
Boiled, knitted wool creates fantastic structure, providing chunky warmth and cocoon-like coziness.
My wool comes from ethically and socially responsible sources. I work with nature.. it's my inspiration.
Joollywoolly woollies work!
You can pick one up at Space Craft, Belfast..
Also available til Christmas at the Pop…

Virtual - Pop up gallery on www.creativechangeni.com
I was wondering if it would be possible to create a virtual pop-up gallery for one week only on this site. All works would be for sale via contacting the Artist. I would like to know your thoughts on this, as I do not think this has been done in NI. I personally would be up for it...anyone else?

Are you confused by the assortment of Christmas Shows?
Christmas is a time that many galleries run group shows part of the reason for this is to give lots of artists an opportunity to benifit from a time of the year when the general public are in a strong mood to buy. While this annoys some people to others it's a really good opportunity to get a good snapshot of what is going on in the art world in one go. This December there is a bumper opportunity to see work and purchase if you feel like it. If you take some time you can get an up to date…

New Diversity Written and Spoken Word Group Proposed
Since I am both a published poet and freelance writer as well as artist and was involved with Commonword in Manchester and the Manchester Poetry Festival, I am now in discussions with some other writers in the Greater Belfast area to set up a Diversity writing group. The aim is to write about our diversity, and to stage live peotry slams or spoken word events and to seek publication of an anthology promoting acceptance of diversity. In the past I have had my poems published by Crocus…

Can prints act as an animation?
People see different things differently bringing with them their own state of mind and experiences but there is one piece of art in an exhibition at the moment that defies explination. The piece is by Michael Longley and Jim Allen. Both masters in their respective fields. One a poet, one a printmaker. The two got together recently for the Response exhbition that is on at Belfast Print workshop Gallery. This is the last week to see it up. When I look at it and read it at the same time the…

Opening Day of Carrickfergus Celebrates Africa
Having gathered together an art exhibition from many countries and items of interest connected to Africa or inspired by Africa, I set out to be as cross-cultural, cross-community and socially inlcusive as possible in how I ran it, who I involved in it and how they did things.
One of the donating artists, Paula Pereira, found the project so interesting that she said she would like to come to the event. I invited her to stay with me and she flew into Dublin on 11th, travelling to…

What you bring into a gallery, when you bring yourself?
I've been thinking about this more recently. I remember my art teacher Ruth Alexander telling me that a piece of art can look different to many different people and I could not understand at first, but as clear as day I can here her say " it depends on the person doing the looking, their own experiences will effect how they look at things".
This phenomena is the same for every exhibition and if your not sure what I'm on about then, try it out by going up to the Ulster Museum and view…

Results out ;-(
I'm very dissapointed to say that I did not win the Digital Heroes Award, It was great to be shortlisted because I felt that maybe I would be able to keep the site cost free and advertising free but I'm afraid now it is not possible. Thanks to everyone who voted for me and your support. The site will have to go under a rethink now and the plans for the next stage revisited. I hope to be able to continue in some form but that might not be possible. Running up to Christmas is our rethink…
