Connect to Art and change in Northern Ireland

help making a short film editing and lights

Hello, I need help making a short film. I have no money and very little equipment but I'm going to make it anyway. I'm using my stills camera's video mode as the quality is quite high but could do with (desperately need) some lights and maybe some advice on editing it. I was going to use iMovie and there's no sound so that eliminates that problem. Should be easy enough right?

All help or advice gratefully received.

Oh, I have one 5k light but no stands at all. I have two tripods - but one camera, maybe I'll just bring the one tripod and stop showing off.

Oh yes, I also need a red sofa or red chairs or something that give the illusion of being in a cinema without actually being in a cinema - any ideas?

Wow, you know, it is a comedy!... and I think I may know a mutual friend, Andrea McVeigh? If so, how weird, she said I should get in touch with you!

Its about a man that falls deeply in love with a hoover, well, 2 hoovers, trust me...it'll be funny.

Royce, excellent man. I have also realised that I don't have a 5k but mabye a 1 k? God knows, I use it as a work light. I also need some gels, well, a blue one that could look like a cinema reflecting, I'm thinking I could steal them off a film shoot somewhere? I'd really appreciate this dude, I'll pay in you in tea, coffee and cheese and ham sarnies, all you can eat, all of the colours of the rainbow in one piece of bread (well, pink, white and yellow -margarine)

Neil, Yeah I know Andrea she is one funny lady ;) I have gels, all sorts of colours. Just give me a shout next week and we can hook up. I love a bit of comedy, especially when men fall in love with objects ;)

OK, I'll email it to you. Some scenes I'm cutting out as I can't think about how I can do them - the office stuff is gonna be impossible as I don't have an office for example.
